Meet Taylor King, SLP graduate student from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, TX, who is completing her Level 5 Clinical Rotation at Avir at Fort Worth.
“When beginning this placement at Avir, I was initially quite nervous as the majority of my experience has been in the pediatric setting. However, the welcoming nature of the staff, and tremendous support of my supervisor, Hillary Talley, allowed me to jump headfirst into this experience. Throughout the first half of my rotation, I have grown tremendously in my competencies and experiences. I have pushed myself and been pushed by the rest of the rehabilitation team to be a better clinician. Additionally, I have learned to love the adult population and SNF setting so much more than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful for the Avir rehabilitation team for welcoming me in with open arms and helping me grow each and every day!”
